Interlude: The Tourist

Florence is some kind of town. While I currently reside in the city (and am very happy because of it), there's a totally different, uniquely Italian charm surrounding Firenze. The most immediate impact is that of scale. Instead of towering skyscrapers and massive crowds, there's a sense of manageability. Efficiency is no longer paramount, and there's really a chance to savor things (being on vacation helps, too). And my, how much there is to savor. Over our one week stay, I amassed a pretty obscene amount of pictures, and I'd like to share some of them, in vaguely chronological. You can click through each of these for a (much) larger view. Enjoy!
