School of Seven Bells, Active Child Remix Each Other on 7''

I was bummed out to miss the recent School of Seven Bells gig at Brooklyn Bowl (my friend Maryanne got some sweet pictures, though), but as a sort of consolation gift, the Bells will be releasing a 7'' on Oct. 26 with their tour opener, Active Child, featuring remixes of each other. Lefse Records has graciously made the remix of "Heart Is Strange" available for download. It's a beguiling take on the Disconnect From Desire track, starting out solemnly before a shuttering beat kicks in. I like!

Side B of the release contains the School of Seven Bells remix of Active Child's "I'm In Your Church At Night." Preorder it here, because vinyl sounds better!

Incidentally, Claudia and Alejandra Deheza used to be in Oh!Air!Library! and, briefly, Daylight's For the Birds, which is also enjoyable and melodic, although I'm not sure if they're actually still around.

And here are a couple of DFTB tracks from our friend at Fanatic (via chromewaves).
